Mohsen C. Amiran, Ph.D

Founder and Chairman

The inventor of over 150 chemical formulations for cleaning the environment, Dr. Amiran established BioGenesis Enterprises, Inc. to develop and market specialty chemical cleaners, odor control products, and environmental remediation services.

An SA graduate of Essex University in Colchester, England, he holds a doctorate in Physical Organic Chemistry and has broad experience as a business manager and entrepreneur. With an honors academic background, he taught organic chemistry at Northwestern and Essex Universities, researched and applied new specialty chemicals to the photography, petroleum, and weapons industries, and directed the development of six companies.

Luis de Leon

Chief Executive Officer
and Member of the Board

Luis most recently worked as President of the Industrial Group at Gardner Denver. For 16 years prior, he held numerous executive roles in the mining equipment industry, including President of Caterpillar Global Mining, Chief Operating Officer of Bucyrus International Inc. and Chief Financial/Operating officer of DBT. Earlier in his career, he held several financial and operational positions in the Industrial & Automation Division of ABB Ltd. He was born and raised in Europe, is trilingual and has worked at the executive level in Europe and the U.S.

Philip Skrade

Chief Financial Officer

A graduate of the University of Chicago, with a Masters of Business Administration. He is an expert in Finance and Corporate Development with experience in Mergers and Acquisitions, Financial Planning and Analysis. He has negotiated acquisitions and joint venture transactions ranging in value from $10 million to $400 million for Fortune 500 companies.

Sherwin Amiran

Chief Technology Officer

A principal of the company for over a decade, Mr. Amiran has provided leadership on many of company’s overseas projects including Venice, Italy; Hong Kong, China; Ajka, Hungary; and Kuwait.

With a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Iowa in Economics and Political Science, and a secondary focus on Physics, he provides a combination of technical knowledge with a sophisticated understanding of project bidding. He has managed relationships with national and international clients, ranging from Fortune 500 companies to government.

Gene Dillon

Vice President of Client Solutions

Prior to joining BioGenesis, Gene was Senior Director of Business Development for IAP Worldwide Services, and spent over 10 years overseas in various project management roles for IAP, including responsibility for the Hazardous and Medical waste management and cleanup in Iraq. Gene also led a $200 Million (USD) Business Unit for IAP’s Government Contracting sector. Prior to joining IAP, Gene was Vice President for a German machine manufacturer. Utilizing his Chemical Engineering focus on Pulp and Paper Technology from North Carolina State University, Gene began his career as the Senior Environmental Engineer for the largest pulp and paper mill in the world.

Jim Johnston

Vice President of Operations

Prior to joining BioGenesis, Jim spent 30 years working in management and executive roles in the mining equipment industry, including Facility Manager of Caterpillars Underground Mining Operations, Director of Operations at Bucyrus International, Inc. and Vice President of Manufacturing of DBT. Jim was operationally responsible for multiple sites located in the Eastern U.S. Jim attended California University of Pennsylvania and the University of Phoenix, and earned a lean manufacturing certification from the University of Michigan and a CPS Green Belt from Caterpillar University.

Mike Onsager

Vice President of Engineering

Mike is a multi-disciplined engineering and product management professional with diverse product skills. His 40-year career has included extensive international mining-related field exposure, supporting customer issues, and marketing/sales efforts for multi-million dollar machines and projects. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from Michigan Technological University and a Master of Science degree in Engineering Management from Milwaukee School of Engineering.

Andrew Crewell, J.D.

General Counsel

Andrew has worked at BioGenesis for 5 years and manages the legal and contracting functions of the company, supervises corporate and financial reporting and auditing, and acts as Corporate Secretary. He is a graduate of the University of Illinois and Saint Louis University School of Law, with a Certificate from the William C. Wefel Center for Employment Law. He has previously worked in private practice representing commercial clients in transactional, corporate governance and litigation matters, specifically catering to clients in real estate, environmental and service industries.
